Hi everyone! I’ve been missing in action since quite a long time now, 5 months I think!

Been quite busy in setting up and working on a new start-up of mine, namely Textualy!

Textualy is an SMS Interaction System or SiS as I like to call it, which is enabling people to utilize the simple text message in many and powerful ways! The reason I’m now back here writing, is because within a 3 month span of launching, Textualy was given an award in the startup category by P@SHA (Pakistan Software Houses Association) in the P@SHA ICT Awards 2011 (runners up).

This I believe may be the 1st time a start-up has won this award within 3 months of it’s launch, and its a real honor and affirmation for me to have won this award!

As an entrepreneur, its things like these that would motivate me further to work harder on this company, and turn it into something worthwhile, and bigger and better over the next few months, and years.

A few lessons to be learnt:

1. If you work hard enough, people do take notice, and you do get recognition for your efforts.

2. Even if you don’t get noticed, dont lose hope. It’s taken me quite some time to get any recognition at all, but I didn’t stop years ago because I hadnt before.

3. From here on out, remember, that you have to step up your game further. Now that you’re in the public eye a bit more than before, people would expect you to make something better! Don’t disappoint them.

4. And last but not least……don’t let it get to your head. It’s an award, recognition, be grateful for it. But come the next morning, put your head down and work as hard as before if not harder. Things may seem to be getting easier, but they may be getting harder than you know!
